Mercedes have now confirmed it has sold it's shares in McLaren, and acquired 75.1% of Brawn GP in a deal which will see the team renamed Mercedes GP from 2010 onwards.
According to the BBC the move will see Button move to McLaren to partner Lewis Hamilton, whilst Nico Rosberg will partner Nick Heidfeld at Mercedes GP.

To be fair, the new Mercedes Team (old Brawn) is going to become an all GERMAN team. German car, German drivers.

The McClaren Team is going to remain with Mercedes for a couple of years, and then McClaren are going to buy them out... and Mercedes are going to stop producing engines for them.

It's thought Button and Hamilton will drive for the McClaren Team... which hopefully will be the best car next year...

Its funny you say that to be honest. The mercedes engine is design, built and tested in Brixworth near Northampton. Just recently the last bits of the engine testing process were moved over to england from stuttgart in Germany. All the engineers, mechanics, technicians and staff are british (there are a few germans here and there) and most of the out sourcing is to british companies.

Brawn is the same. Even when it was Honda, the chassis side was all done in England. Effectively the buy out makes no difference other than the german national anthem will be played if they win. The rumours are the Nico Rosberg and Nick Heidfeld will be the drivers which will be a good pairing. Rosberg is a very talented driver and am sure if the car is good enough next year he'll do well. I doubt he'll be in contention for the title though. Heidfeld is a stunningly good second driver. Very consistent, nearly always finishes in the points and always brings the car home. The asperations are for the title, and for that they'll need someone truly world class.

As for Button to Mclaren, its a very strong rumour - I don't know yet, we're certainly not in the loop when it comes to driver choice. If he does join I'll be his engine engineer next year which would be quite cool. I won't be surprised if Lewis totally out drives him though!

He wont compete. Both Hamilton and Barrichello out scored him in the 2nd half of last season. Barrichello had the same car, and the Mclaren wasn't as good. If Barrichello hadn't have been screwed over by his own team, he'd have won the Championship.

I cant stand Jenson Button, so watching him fail miserably at Mclaren will bring a massive smile to my face

Raikonnen said it was Mclaren or nothing. Red Bull were interested in him driving for them, and i dont see why he hasn't taken that seat. I think they would do well for him.

Well isn't he getting paid £20m by Ferrari for just not driving for them (so they could put Alonso the Cunt in his car)? I'd quite happily arse about in rallying knowing I had that in the bank this year!

I'd love there to be a massive crash and Alonso die horribly.
