Have you met bearsac?
I had the pleasure of meeting bearsac last week at Elephant & Castle:
Has anyone else met him/her/it on the underground?
PS:

Bearsac is a Teddy Bear rucksack. He was bought on 26th August 1997 whilst his owner was in Belgium. She could not resist his expressive face. She, (Debra) breathed life into him. The moment their eyes met Bearsac was.
At last he had found his Medium; his instrument of communication. For although Bearsac has a voice, he has no mouth to articulate it.
As well as being his new friend and owner, Debra is his medium. How it works is his voice leaves his body then his aura - which is an energy field around the body - goes through the earth's energy field, is then absorbed by Debra's aura before going into her voice-box and out of her mouth.
Has anyone else met him/her/it on the underground?
PS:
Debra has Asperger's syndrome. Although mild and high functioning it still gives her difficulties in some situations and may lead people to feel offeneded if they don't understand.

It is so weird that I have recently joined here and I read a recently posted thread on Bearsac.
I have not met him but have heard of him from 2 of my colleagues who have. One of the colleagues posted everyone a link to his website and a photo they had taken of him at Vauxhall station eating someones sandwich!!
I have been a fan ever since and hope one day that I will meet him so I can be photographed with him to be on his Bearsac meets public page. I used to have him as my wallpaper on my PC at work but now have my newborn nephew Luke on there.
I love his problem page for teddy bears, and the photos of him with celebrities. Any Gooners amongst you really must see the celebrities page.
Anyone that has not yet seen his website’ it is a must see.

Think I've seen him around here in Borehamwood, hanging around outside Macdonalds with the whipper-snappers on mopeds

Oh please don’t burst my bubble.
Please don’t tell me Bearsac is a MacDonalds eating rapscallion; don’t do that to me, I love him and want his cubs!!
He looks so debonaire in his velvet suit and bowtie. But then again, wearing shades with the velvet suit, maybe you have a point.
(Hope the photo come out, not posted one before. if not then see his site)

it is somewhere in his old diary.

Do you have Aspergers?
To - Chris E Mania
This is not the first time I have been asked if I have Aspergers. Having read about Aspergers on Bearsacs website and the links from it I think it is quite possible.
I would love to know why you ask this and hope you are asking in an intelligent fashion and not being nasty for the sake of a cheap jibe. There are a lot of ignorant people out there, so I hope you are not one of them.
btw - I am only joking about wanting Bearsacs cubs!

No offense meant nor none taken if none meant, just have be sure and I don't know you.
The more I think about it the more I think I do have Aspergers. Still curious as to why you ask? Wont be offended, just useful for me to know.

My Boss saw Bearsac!
My boss saw him by the Thames in Vaxhall at lunchtime. His owner must work / live nearby as two of my colleauges have met him in Vaxhall too and Desire met him in Elephant and Castle which is near.
I will have to take walks down by the thames at lunch-times.

Apparantly I have many symptoms of aspergers but the more i see posts by people who suffer from it, the more i am determined not to be lumped in with a bunch of wacko jackos.

Salesperson: Could I take your name please?
A mate: Yes, it's Marc - with a C
Salesperson (pauses): Cark?!?

Funny really, when I saw your signatures I thought 'there's someone with Asperger's'.
Re 'Wako Jakos' - sometimes we hide behind the greatest fears we hold of ourselves and behind and the fears we have of the way other people see us by calling others the names of flaws we deny we have in ourselves.
Personally speaking, I like to spend time getting to know people or types of people before I make judgements on them.
I just emailed Bearsac's owner last night for advice on Asperger's, she sounds anything but Wacko Jacko from her reply this morning.

My brother has been told he has Asperger's.
What pisses me off about it is that he has effectively been given a 'green light' to be an outright cunt. Now my mum just says, "oh it's the aspergers he can't help it" etc etc
I don't deny people have it or it can be a challenge but I hate it when people use things like that to shield themselves from adjusting themselves. I have been guilty of that in the past and it worries me that other people do the same, it's not healthy
I was in a bad mood when I wrote that previous post (heh, i'm in one now as it goes but i'm not drunk this time), i don't think asperger's makes people wacko jackos, that was just a drunken flippant remark because i find it all a bit odd!

Hi, been away. Just seen you post.
I agree that aspergers shouldn't be used as a green card to do what one wants and shield themselves from adjusting themselves IF it is needed. It is always going to be hard to tell the difference between when someone is taking the piss or genuinly not understaning the right and wrong thing if they don't understand the rules of society. There are things that are obviously wrong and they should know this and not used there diagnosis to get away with it.
