yeah, he was a porsche - perhaps they couldn't get licensing? It looks a bit shit actually, like something out a computer game

as CGI goes I've seen a lot better. Perhaps it'll look better in the proper scenes.

Yup, hes a pontiac now. All the autobots has got more modern vehicles - mainly so that car companies can sell via the film:

Yeah, from what ive seen the robots do look a LOT better when they are in motion. Seems to me that Jazz there looks the most like one of the original toys/cartoons - i.e. lots of panels and smooth bits rather than the more complicated versions of Megatron, Starscream featured in the film...

I would rather there be no women in this film than a bloody love story! fuckin typical. Plus the robots have no faces, the hands I can deal with but no face means no character. This film will center around human characters which should not be the case :evil:

They do have faces. Jazz does for a start, you just cant see them quite as well. But lets face it, for them to have faces on them like (say) the robots in I, Robot would look ridiculous.

Theres much debate at the moment whether Optimus Prime should be given his trademark faceplate or lips....

Its not a love story, I just said theres a love interest. The human main character had a GF in the cartoon (Carly) and in the comic (Jessie)

at least optimus prime should have a face plate. the thing is with these holywood films and their massive budgets they never give the original fans anything because theyre too caught up in making everything commercially viable.

Actually Bay's said theres going to be a lot of cartoon/comic references for the fanboys. Even in one of the trailers when Spike is getting his new car (Bumblebee - the new Camaro version) you can see a old yellow Volkswagen Bettle in the background.....
