I have an american contact who wants to sell me shit loads of tunes. He's given me a few prices but before i tell you lot what they are, i need to know what you'd pay for these tunes. The list is quite long

Thing is if he's in America those tunes aren't going to be as easy to find as they are over here, which probably pushes the value up - the majority of those that I valued tho I've seen in the shops quite a bit over the last couple of years.

Ebay is a terrible gauge to use, there's some serious price distortion on there, because when you get two people who desperately want the same record, they'll pay well above the normal asking price to get it as they try and outbid each other. There's been times on ebay I've put in crazy bids for tunes I don't even want that badly, because you get caught up in the bidding war.

The whole E-bay thing is so gay, cos u get certain tunes that people make a fuss over on e-bay, it only takes a few people to pay over the odds, and then all of a sudden people sell the tunes for that inflated price "cos thats what it goes for", and so on...hence why buying any old Deathchant, PCP, Mokum, and various oldskool becomes nigh impossible without a helfty bank balance.

As I've learned in the past - never pay more than about maybe 15 quid max for a tune if you're patient - cos sure enough it WILL turn up somewhere else cheaper. You really just never know

And of course if you do get a tune for loads then see it cheaper elsehwere, buy the cheaper one and flog it on e-bay to other gullible saps
