United States of Hardcore
A new release from an old label this LP is one of the lighter sounds to be coming out and somewhat more grounded than other tracks out there. I Know has a pretty nice opening with like a muffled synth warbling progressively louder and clearer with the hook “I Know” sprinkled in the background. Albeit simplistic, the breakdown is not bad going with the house-y diva singer singing the full hook “Baby I know you’re in love with me.” That is followed up by cheesy, bouncy synths that kinda sound a little 80's, more injections of the hook, and lots more happiness. Re-hashing old hits seems to be thing lately and while better than a lot of recent efforts the track is nothing to shave your balls over. I do however enjoy the thick, rolling baseline and the use of the soft warbling 80's synths again but the hook is played out and there is no musical hook to ultimately keep my attention.
