Joe-E drops 'Ethos' on Traffic Records
Hard House -> ReleasesThu 25th Feb 2010 By: tomcypher
Tech Dance star Joe-E brings an awesome slice of Filth to Traffic with Scott Attrill on the remix…

    ETHOS – JOE-E
Going for the Jugular right from the off, trademark techno beats rip from the speakers with pace and power before the kick rips and a cutting synth sets the vibe. Going forward there is some great use of chopped up vocals & some building synth pads. The old school piano is lush and sits perfectly before dropping into the beakdown which again has a real old / retro feel to it. If you love the sounds of Yoji then this is a match made in heaven for you.

Nightmare Outdoor 2010 - “Lost in the Forest”
Hardcore -> EventsSat 20th Feb 2010 By: Flax 2 da max
Nightmare Outdoor has been rewarded for their great outdoor festival in 2009, last year’s
first acquaintance with the brand new location “Luttenberger” in Hellendoorn. On the
8th of may 2010 Nightmare Outdoor returns to this unique venue, hidden in the dark
forest at the “Luttenbergerweg”, and is simultaneously the festival opener for 2010!

Last months lots of people already speculated about the possible line up and the
    different area’s.

Equal to last year, there are six area’s with a wide spread on variation.
The sharing of the area’s gives space to represent all different kinds of streams
    within the hardcore scene.

Leigh Brooks delivers 'Drop In Time' & 'Proper Acid Sound' on Traffic Records
Techno -> ReleasesFri 19th Feb 2010 By: tomcypher
Rising star Leigh Brooks delivers two fantastic tracks that already come with BBC Radio 1’s seal of approval…

DROP IN TIME – LEIGH BROOKS
Straight in with a tuff kick drum & in your face loop, there is also some nice effects & distorted hits before the deep sub bass builds & grows to build that wall of sound side chained effect, this defiantly has the feel of ‘Murder was the bass’ at this point but then strips back to the bare bones with big distorted percussion & the bass rising again. The breakdown sits perfectly with the tracks title as old school rave beats do the business until a huge synth takes over to push you over the edge. ... [more]

Unknown1234567890 drops his Mysterious EP on 40 Degrees Records
Techno -> ReleasesFri 19th Feb 2010 By: tomcypher
We start with the summery vibe of the hybrid Cat4, which gives away a glimpse of its theme straight from the beginning. Progressive arrangement, though electric sounds and distortion are the key elements that come in to play with a gorgeous melodic arrangement.
As the track evolves through 4/4 and broken beats, we hear classic house stabs, as well as glitchy voices serving as a bed to the melodic plucks, driving the track into its massive climax with strings stabs.

The simple but effective Time 000 is on the flip. Again, we can taste a little bit of that summery vibe from Cat4, but this time it's all about butt-shaking groove. With a housey vibe, on a progressive tone, the track ... [more]
