United States of Hardcore

Relentless 4th-Jun-2000

Well, after being pulled over by the police for having a baldy wheel and people not wearing seatbelts in the back , we got to Glasgow Cally Uni, after driving around in circles for 20minutes.

We missed the first 45 minutes of Serges set but when we arrived he was playing some good freeform hardcore. Then it was time for me and Haston to play our hard trance set, and hard it was. Mike and Cammy and the rest of the Transient crew were the loudest on the dance floor making themselves heard above the resr. Dropped in a couple of slower/harder spanish tunes and had Rodrigo enquiring about there names, even though he was playing new school gabber. He started with The Omen origional theme tune then banged away with some slow gabber.

Next up was the man himself, straight from Homelands @ Ingilston, Al Spaztech, he was going to play a 30 minute PA set but due to technical difficulties, he couldn't, so he played half an hour of machine gun sounding gabber !!! Phew!

Dj Cutthroat took us on a different path to the one he usually plays with some good trance and hard house slowly moving on to bouncy techno classics that got the crowd moving again.

Haston and I stepped up to the decks for our second and last set of the night. To be honest I didn't think the spanish techno would go down to well here because it seemed like a 'harder' crowd, but gladly I was proved wrong and the crowd loved it, everyone dancing, I'm happy! Ended the night with Dream Sequence 3 - Maday Dream on Bonzai, crowd goes wild.

Overall, it was a good night with all the regulars there, Boony, Craig, Al, Us, David Copeland was there aswell and so was the guy with the Twisted Viyl tatoo. There wasn't a bad performance from any of the Dj's, nice one Davie, here's to the next 'Relentless' mate!

Cheers,

Colin.
