A night of mixed feelings and, for me, a different atmosphere to other Dreamscapes I've been to. This one being my 4th, all at Shepton Mallet. For me the crowd didn't seem as hyped up as usual. Before I go on and describe my night I feel I must get a few things off my chest. Is it only me, or has the happy, noisy, smiley atmosphere gone for good? I saw many moody people there, not just this event, but previous ones as well. If this is the way the scene is going at big events then it is pretty sad, being a raver for some years now, it is getting harder and harder to to find happy, friendly people to share the night with. Anyway, that's enough for now, as I could go on for ever on this subject - if anyone else has noticed this get in touch thro' adam and let me know. Back to Dreamscape. 10 out of 10 for changing the setup again every time a different way. It was good to see Dreamscape put on a different show on stage and around the event ie fire jugglers, trapeze, stilt walkers and who could forget the huge robot going around and spinning eveybody out? I got round to most areas and my personal bests of the night were Sharkey, with a blinding techno set, nice to hear this music in the main arena. Easygroove, who looked as if he was enjoying himself as much as the crowd was. Brisk, well what can I say? Brisk is just spot on every time. Lomas, for a non-stop rollercoaster ride of brilliant techno. Mark EG, not so hard as usual but still a nutter! If you haven't witnessed this DJ in action then where have you been? Just a side note here to some of the MCs - it must be hard to keep the crowd hyped all night but sometimes people need to take a few minutes out yeh? Overall it was a good night, but not the best I've been to. I'm not quite sure what was missing but whatever it was I hope it comes back soon. This will be my last Dreamscape for a while as i'm getting married soon and I just need a break for a bit. To all the people I've come to know - keep it up and don't let the spirit die. Shouts to - Mark EG, Ribbz, The Dancers, Robbie Dee, my brother Adam, All the happy, smiley, whistle posse.
