Right Another weekend report.... First of all i've got to say Dealers without drugz.... Your fucking pointless.... So I spent the night on beer. DOH Got to the venue at 8:30 to find a short line outside. Took no more than 5 mins to get in and searched through so it wern't too bad. On entering we were greated by the sounds of Uncle Mark (as Batty Put it). Yes the one and only Mark E.G was bouncin around behind (and all over) the Dex.... NUTTER. Vibes followed with what started as cheese and got harder half way through, We were shocked. Not a bad set to work the crowd up finishing with G.A.K's - The Hymn, which I love. Surprisein choice through because it's a bouncey tekno version of an old Vangilis choon and not the sort of stuff I'd exspect Vibes to play (let alone finish with). Then came Sarge. Number of people have said since that this was the set of the night. I'll agree due to the fact he played everything. Hardcore/oldskool/break-beat & Trance. Top set. The stunt he pulled that has to be metioned was during this absolutely rocking Trance track the drum roll built for an age before dropin to the break and He spun in the Vocal from Daydreams pop rip off "Don't you Forget about me". The crowd all looked at each other going "Ehh?" before the Trance track kicked off again and the floor went balistic. Top Un. Due to Sharkey not making it up cause of S.V. Sarge played an hour and a half and so did Demand. Demand started hard and droppd to the more harder cheese, Before dropin "Dancein through the Night" to a great responce. I can't remember much more of the set but it was a good un. Sy was up last with the normal end of night jobbie. Not bad but it was the normal sort of Chedder. Shooting Star made us sit down and Discoland almost made us leave. If he had played more of what he's writting at the moment I'm sure the responce would have been better. Other comment's from the night... Well not much really good crowd whch was only spoilt by 4 Birkenhead wankers taxing poor Bug for Cigs at the end. Notice how when Skelters on they are not there and everyone has a dodgy time at skelter and yet Slammin do the sanctury but we get the tossers. Maybe I'll be down slammin next time...
