Got to meetup early with Karen and saw Stargazer and Rushout, had a few drinks as everyone else turned up; it always makes me giggle watching peoples faces in the pubs as a load of ravers turn up, but think their getting used to us all now; then at 9-50 we walked round the corner to Elektrowerkz. About 10 mins max lining up and then in ! First thing I heard was Smithers playing a hard Trance set in room 2, but went into the main room to hear Stargazer who was up first. What a set ! He played some really quality Hardcore, it's a bit trancey which normally isn't my favourite type of Hardcore, but his stuff is excellent! 'Ultimate High'...what a tune!!! Next up was Tom U4ea, I only heard a bit of this set as I went for a bit of a waffle. HB and Lukozade were up after that and I was interested to see how the new b2b would work.....and it worked really well, good tunes! and I really loved dancing to the set. After HB & Luke was Hixxy, and from what I remember he ended up playing a harder set that he used to...more to my liking. Next up was Vinyltrixta with a classic set, and what a quality set it was too! Didn't play any bad cheese either, and was one of the best sets for me. Ponder & Uplift next, but I had gone for another waffle and missed this set. Breeze after that, erm don't really remember much about his set, as things were a bit hazy at that time, but last set was Sy and OMG, what a set! Brilliant! Loved dancing to his set. Every set I heard that night was quality. Mcs Storm and Whizzkid were on top form, MC Elmo..amazing as always, and Shotgun another MC that I really rate. The Res lazer was amaaaazin as ever, and the bubble machine! OMG the bubble machine was spectacular!~! Lovely bubbles coming down :) I didn't really hear too much from room 2, as altho I like Hard Trance, I'd rather be in the Hardcore room, but there was plenty enough room to dance. It was not too loud and was round the corner from the main chillout room, so that everyone could still talk without having to shout. To finish off I'd say that this has to be one of the best Elations ever. Elation has always been known for it's amazing atmosphere and upfront Hardcore and last night was one of the best! Massive shouts to the Elation lads..HB, Ponder, Tom U4ea and James F of Elation Recordings. Shouts to everyone else there, Charlie Kitten and James, Caine, Slammin Sam, Karen, Kev, Tony Res, Dick, Tombola and his mates, Grob, Chedda, Ravegirl, Jensta, Paul H, Paul W, Desire, Looney, Neotech, Cris.e, Uplift, Luke, Shotgun, Wildcard, Dok, Rizla, Paulie, Chris and Nicola, Barticle, Matt and his mates, snow, Ricky, Clint and his g/f, Hattrix, Stargazer, Rushout, Han-e (Happy birthday m8) and Flipdee, Davespice, Phick, Johnno (Cambridge massive :D) and anyone else I've forgotten... Last thing, is a big up to the two Birkenhead lads who came to their first Elation. I didn't get their names, but they were well sound and said they had a really good night and would be coming to the next one. Nice one! :)
