Never been to a Diz before but what better an event to go to than there 10th Birthday at the Dome. Myself, Rich B, Shaun and Russ arrived just before 8.00 and there was quite a queue! We were stood near the road and the people infront of us had to move everytime a car came past. Hirsti, Tarq and Pud joined is in the queue with a few bevvies, just then a landrover comes bombing down the road. I thought this c*nts not gonna slow down, SMACK he hit Tarq!!! Luckily Tarq bein a big fellow took it fairly well and dinted the Landrover, he was ok just a little winded, if it had been any smaller I think some serious damaged could have happened! Most people in the queue found it pretty funny. Around 8.30 the doors opened and the queue begin to go in pretty quickly, we got inside and went straight to the bar, £2.10 for a pint which wasnt too bad, but water was £2.00, so for the rest of the night we decided to go to the drinks machines and get lucozade for a quid We went into the second arena which wasnt quite ready yet so there a big crowd waiting at the top of the steps, when we finally got down the stairs the venue looked fantastic and I belive it was Simz on the dex first. We went round to the doors for the main arena but sadly it wasnt open yet! So we chilled listenin to the trance in the second arena and also fetched a few more beers. When the the main arena opened OMG what a f***ing wicked venue, it looked the dogs danglers, the sound system was spot on and the decor looked amazing. We caught the last bit of Topgrooves set. Then on came Slipmatt and Lime playing some wicked old skool tunes and they finished with Prodigy's "Outer Space", the place went mental. Then it was the SL2 live P.A, which rocked. "Way in my brain" was in there somewhere, then they finished with "On a ragga tip" which the crowd absolutely loved ! Next up was the old geeza himself Stu Allen who played his legendary classics set which the ravers absolutley loved and stomped away like nutters, It was nice to see Stu in the main arena for a change as he normally ends up in the old skool arena (Cant wait for FutureVibe as hes in the main arena there too!). We went for a walk round when the Dream Frequency P.A came on, so we missed most of that. But on after was Marc Smith who played a bangin freefrom set, he also dropped in "Boom n Pow" and "Raver Baby". Sy graced the dex for the last hour, but we only caught half of this as we had to go outside to flyer ! He scratched it up as always and got the crowd bouncing ! When we were outside flyering the amount of people that fell down this 1 curb was unreal and made me chuckle every time someone did :) This was one of, if not, the best rave I've ever been to. The production was great and the DJs where all on form. It was even better than Fantasy Island this summer. I was suprised how much I enjoyed it, as I was hungover from Friday night and even considered not going ! How glad am I that I did :) Shouts to: Rich B, Shaun, Russ, Hirsti, Pud, Tarq, Tom, Debbie, Gary(Vibealite), Kleiny, C5, Ben BPH, Lee, Domer and everyone else who made it a blinding night !!!
