Yet another great night at Slammin Vinyl. This was my third in a row at Bagleys and they seem to get better every time. Getting down there was an absolute mission. We had directions from junction 2 of the M1 to the nearest tube station. The plan was to park the car there and then get the tube to Kings Cross. This plan was shelved though when we found out the directions were completely wrong. We then drove round for about an hour asking various people the way, most of whom either didn't know, were foreign or both. London is a horrible place to live, far too busy and cluttered. We finally got there at about 10:30 to get inside for 10:45. I bought the usual whistle, glow rods and bottle of water, said hello to Michelle on stage and then headed outside for the meetup. Everybody was there and this was one of the highlights of the night for me. Hello to Michelle, Joe Retro, Smithers, Peter, Ben Sadler, Maxim, Caine, Charm, Ess Kay and Justin Vinyl. The only ush net regular I didn't see was DOK (were you there?). After chatting for about 15 mins I headed back inside for Force and Styles. As you know I'm not a fan of theirs and they did play some dire tunes like "Feeling Fine" and "Higher Ground". However they also played "Field of Dreams" and "Shooting Star" (the original not the shitty remix they did). We were also told that MC Junior is being releaseed in four weeks. He is widely thought by many to be the man who made Force and Styles and this indicates a good year for them. Vinyltrixta played a good set along with the Storm. I then headed back out for the second meetup and we all had a cheesy photo took together. You should scan it in and put it on the site Joe. Brisk was next and he played a good technoey set. Next came Vinylgroover and he played some good tunes, especially when he dropped "Now is the time". After him came Sy and Unknown with Storm, and this was the set of the night for me. The arena crammed up as soon as they came on, showing how popular they are at the moment. Vibes was on next and I was gutted to discover that Live Lee was not there. I can't help wondering if we've seen the last of him. I missed the last set because my mate wanted to go early and my legs were aching from all that stomping. Altogether it was a wicked night. I hope to see you all at Hardcore Heaven.
