What a good night i had even though i had to leave early !!

Got to Chumleys at about 7:30 and walked in the bottom bit to see loadsa people in their friday night evening gear, which made me wonder if i had got the right place! but a quick call to podja and i was sat in the back with everyone who was already there having a drink and fag!

8 came and we were informed that we could go upstairs so i eagerly rushed up there. Got me hand stamped and had a look around. First there was a bar with a seating area which was nice to chill at, with a door to an outside balcony, but we weren't really allowed out there. you then had to proceed down a dark corridor with seats which was quite spooky, when u couldn't see who was there !! After that came the main room which i was very dissapointed with to begin with, it was tiny! Anyway i just thought to meself at least its cosy!

First on the decks was Topcide, playing a fairly hard trance set. not my cup of tea, but mixing was good and its a shame it was still pretty empty for his set. Next up was Readings very own DJ Velocity, who did play a very hard german trance set. Again not really my thing, but it did get the room jumping.

Next the BPM's were taking up to my kinda speed with Mupster touching down which i liked having a good stomp to. During this set i did some flyering outside to try and get people in, and it worked!! hope thats appreciated! Next up after Mupster was a DJ i have been very impressed with the last couple of times i have heard him, DJ Kryptonite. He played the best set i have ever heard at a rave, and its the most fun i have ever had. Cheesey classics will never die, you may be embarrassed to listen to them at home, but there is no funner music to listen to at a rave. The remix of 'Set You free' was the highlight of this set, everyone coming together to sing the wicked vocals. Nice one.

Sadly this is where i went home, firstly coz i had to get up early this morning to see family off on holiday and secondly coz i had to travel home myself this time and Reading isn't a nice place to be alone, so i still wanted there to be alot of people around !! I had a top night though, the disappointment at the start of the night quickly went, there was an amazing atmosphere which i think was helped by the small venue. Top top night, and will defo be at the next one here if they have it.

Funniest parts of the night...

1) Smoking with the bouncers downstairs and generally having an agruement about why hardcores not crap! one said 'he must have 50 E's in his pocket' and the huge one shouted 'get him!' as he proceded to run at me like he was gonna takle me, he stopped (he was joking) which was good as i was shiteing meself!

2) Lesbians on the dancefloor!! Two nice lesbians getting off with each other, with some up skirt action going on!! was a huge cry of disappointment when the pissed of to the toilet! oh well

3) Danger being totaly f***ed! hahahaha :)
