United States of Hardcore

The Street NYE, Skegness 31st-Dec-2002

My friends and I arrived at the venue at around 8pm the doors were open at 7. I wasn't expecting it to be completely full what with Fantasy Island only a short distance away, but when we got inside there wasn't many people in at all. It was early though and we thought things would pick up before long. Never the less the music was bangin with a wicked old school set from Scotty and Andy Techno. It was a night dedicated to the best up and coming DJ's although some recognised names such as: Scotty, Andy Techno, The Teknoist, Terrorist, etc, etc. Unfortunately it didn't get much busier. It was a real shame that more people hadn't shown up because although the music was right and some people were going crazy and loving it... it just needed the crowd to add the atmosphere!

Conclusion It would seem that this venue would have held a wicked rave on New Years Eve but unfortunately it didn't get the ravers it deserved. I've heard good reports about this club from past events and I would like to go when it is full with an up for it crowd.

Shouts to Mick Heath, Sandy Plats, Nicky Durnan, Andy Techno, Sarah (Worcester), Lee, Clint, Chedda, Mark and Pski.
