Well, what can I say, I was very amazed at this night. Absolute packer to the very last detail, there was something about going to an under 18's night that originally made me assume it would be like a school disco but that was far from the point, these kids are ravers to be! It was an insane atmosphere as soon as people started walking into the main arena. I got there quite near the start to se Oli G blastin the freeform sounds as the warm up set, at first the arena was empty but it soon started filling up as Oli's set got further to the end. Oli finished off with an insane new gabber tune, a future release from Camel Filth I believe, and it was indeed a packer. Gazy J was Mcing for this set and he had had printed a t-shirt saying 'PATTING THE WET IS DARK', I was highly impressed. Gaz was on top form aswell, its always good to see these people Next up was me, I was very impressed with the system Wiggi had, and was even more impressed when I started bmixing on it, it was absolutely flawless, just like DJing at home, with no trouble hearing as the monitor speakers were crisp-clear, mc free and very loud. My set went quite well, was good to see all the little kiddies raving to Sy & Unknown's Striker, which I thought would go down well in a kid-packin evening. After me it was supposed to be DJ Smackdown but I was highly surprised to find out that Smackdown couldn't make it, so he was replaced with Mozz and Himbo b2b who played a classic cheese set which I think is always good to hear every now and again. Started off with like a Dream, and proceeded to play cheesy anthems which the kids were loving, but I think Mozz was loving it the most! Following these was supposed to be JD, I'm not sure if it was actually JD, I think it was someone stepping in for him but he played quite a good set to, playing a few classical anthems and a bit of a mix from what I remember. And last of all Wiggi took the stage with Gazy J for the last 45 minutes. Wiggi played a very Evo-like set, with tunes like Prince of Darkness, Bring Me Round to Love rmx and Fly With You of wot I remember. Heard Shooting Star and the kids went mad , which didn’t surprise me. When I left it was about 10 mins from the end and Wiggi had started playin a bit of gabber. I was a bit too soppin to dance any more so decided it was time. All in all it was a very good night and I'll probably be going to the next one even tho it's U18's and I'm not booked. Thoroughly good promoting from the Wiggi to a T. The decor was good in the main arena, as was the sound system and the lighting. The chillout bit was mainly Drum & Bass for most of the night but it was good for a change every now and again, I spent most of my time here just wafflin to people. The only downpoint I'll say is when some tiny 14-15 year old Pugsley pikey tried to start on my mate Percy but got took off by a bouncer and had a talkin too. This pissed me off coz none of me or my mates are the fighting type but anyone that knows Percy knows he is a big guy and wouldn't take shit from a scrawny little kid. Then later on some other kid came up to Percy sayin "Did you start on my mate", and he was saying no for ages, tellin him to f**k off, then the kid brought his mate up to Percy and said "Did he start on you", the kid sed no and then his mate was like "Oh sorry, wrong geezer". What little pricks, I had forgot what kids could be like. Apart from that though, they were all just friendly music lovin people, nearly every pair of hands was holding a pair of glowsticks or had a whistle. It was also funny having a few little pilled up kids coming up to me, chattin shit to me, which I enjoyed.. Shouts to Wiggi (nice one mate, u did it well!), Oli G, Gazy J, Cruze and Hev, Mozz, Himbo, Nikki, Thumpa, Sawyer and Jonny Radders, Percy for driving me up there, my mates The Dantist and Chewy who came up and luckily caught most of my set, all the new to Patting Wet crew, and existent patters, MC Wizzy G who MC'd to my set and the JD one, Limitz from Dimensions, The Mindripper, all the little kids who were avin it, the security and the police. Hopefully I havent.
