United States of Hardcore
I knew before this event that it would be fairly good no matter what because there were so many from USH NET going. There were almost as many from the site as at Slammin Vinyl and if plenty of your mates are there it's always a good night. We got to the Pleasure Rooms at about 10:30. It was fairly empty at first but then it filled up later on. The first two sets were Old Skool style so I didn't enjoy them that much. Next up was Soapy and he did a fairly good set. The next two sets were Uplift and Cris E Manic and they were both very good, especially Crissy's. I had never heard her play before and she played quite a few older tunes which were all still banging. Easy Ed followed and I didn't see all of his set but what I did see was very good. He has impressed me on all the times I have heard him play and I think he should be considered for a slot at one of the bigger events. Wizbit played the penultimate set and even threw in the drum and bass tune "Turbulence" for a touch of variety. DJ Sy had been booked as a special guest to play last set but he didn't turn up. Lukozade filled in for him alongside MC Storm and they did a good final set. Before this event I wasn't expecting it to be too busy as it was merely an event for a London based pirate radio station. However it was busier than Labyrinth or Dreamscape in previous weeks at the Pleasure Rooms. The tunes played were all good, he mixing was flawless and there was a great atmosphere there. The Addiction FM management should be proud of what they achieved here and it shows how highly the station is thought of in raveland. If they do another event soon then make sure you go as it was one of the best raves I've been to in a while. Big shouts to Time, Kev, Cakes, Smithers, Sam, Tel, Andrew and Jo, Rich and Jo, Justin Vinyl, Happy Bounce, Tina, Claire, Happy J, Bridie, Cris E Manic, Roo, Emma, Conrad, Breaker and mate, MC Storm, John, Alistair and Adidas Matt.
